Curious about chemical peels and want to know whether they’re right for you? We’re here for you!

Peels today come in all different strengths and applications and work best for those with mild to moderate wrinkles, sagging, uneven skin tone and acne scarring. They are appropriate for almost any skin type depending on your goals and are often used to help resurface and shed dull skin for a makeup free complexion, by targeting sun damage, hyperpigmentation and other causes of uneven skin tone.

Peels are a chemical treatment used to resurface the skin by shedding the older, duller, topmost layers of the skin to allow for new, healthy tissue to be revealed that is smoother and tighter.  This allows skin to appear more youthful, even and radiant. Blemishes and imperfections are minimized. Chemical peels are extremely customizable in both strength and active ingredients. Formulations may include lactic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, trichlorocetic acid (TCA), retinoic acid, vitamin C and more.

Get the Glow Peels

We often hear frustration from patients who want to achieve a great complexion but haven’t really been able to find the right over the counter combination. Indulging in a medical grade chemical peel every few months can be an effective way to resurface and exfoliate your skin in order to achieve that glow. A series of chemical peels can also combat acne scarring or to help target early wrinkles.

Medium and Deeper Peels

If you are looking for a peel that will help to treat hyperpigmentation or sun damage, there are several combinations that we offer and the type will depend on essentially how much damage there is to treat. A favorite and very effective peel is a Cosmelan, which is offered to patients who want to really address hyperpigmentation or treat melasma. This treatment is a two step process where the first part involves application of a mask in-office mask which must be left on for about 10 hours. It is an amazing combination of acids and active ingredients that really help to lift pigment.  A cream is provided for use over the next few weeks following the initial Cosmelan mask to further the beneficial results. This is an especially helpful treatment for hyperpigmentation or melasma, but again, there are many options and your treatment will be determined based on an individual consultation.
